A pitcher is on the move in the Rockies' farm system, but right now it's not Jon Gray.
As Rockies fans eagerly await the call-up of Gray, the team's top draft pick in 2013, instead the pitcher on the move is left-hander Harrison Musgrave, who was more than a match for opponents in the advanced Single-A California League.
An eighth-round pick in the 2014 draft out of West Virginia University, Musgrave moved up to New Britain in the Double-A Eastern League after posting a 10-1 record with Modesto.
"It's a good time to see what he could do at the next level," said Ron Gideon, the Rockies' development supervisor for New Britain.
