While the focus on pitching prospects in the Rockies' farm system has been on Jon Gray and Rex Brothers on the Triple-A Albuquerque roster, left-hander Harrison Musgrave at Single-A Modesto has quietly stolen the show.
Pitching in only his second season of professional baseball, after compiling a 2-4 record last year at Grand Junction, Musgrave is adapting to the better competition in the California League as if he's ready to move up again.
After losing his first start of the season April 12, Musgrave has reeled off victories in his past nine decisions. Those nine victories lead all pitchers in the Rockies' farm system.
