Marc Stout said he doesn’t like Oracle Park in San Francisco because he threw up there once, and that sums up the series pretty accurately as the Colorado Rockies fall to the San Francisco Giants in a 4-0 shutout to cement getting swept. The Rockies fall to 3-7 in the young season after their first road series of the year, and find themselves in the basement of the National League West.
Failure to launch a recurring theme
The constant during this first road series was a failure to capitalize on offensive opportunities. After a homestand where the Rockies scored at least five runs in 6 of 7 games, they failed to score more than three in any of the three games against San Francisco.
