Hindsight on the 2020 season.
If the Rockies had performed more often as they did Saturday night, they’d be a playoff team.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda.
Riding an excellent start from German Marquez, stringing together quality at-bats and getting home runs from Elias Diaz and Ryan McMahon, the Rockies beat Arizona 10-3 Saturday night at Chase Field. The 10 runs tied Colorado’s season-high.
In his final performance of the season, Marquez pitched seven innings, giving up three runs — all of them unearned — on just five hits. He struck out seven and walked only one.
