Raimel Tapia reached base three times and German Marquez had another strong outing as the Hartford Yard Goats got a 4-2 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Thursday.
Marquez pitched six innings, allowing a run on four hits with two walks and seven strikeouts, dropping his ERA to 2.65 or the season, all of which has been spent at Hartford at age 21.
Tapia provided a spark at the top of the Hartford lineup, going 2-for-3 with a run sored and a walk, raising his average to .308 for the season. After a slow start in April, Tapia is hitting .
