DENVER — Longtime Rockies broadcast analyst George Frazier, who retired at the end of this season after 19 seasons, will receive the Longevity in Baseball Award at the 18th annual banquet of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society for American Baseball Research at Coors Field on Saturday night.
Frazier pitched in the Majors for 10 seasons (1978-87) with the Cardinals, Yankees, Indians, Cubs and Twins. He made trips to the World Series and completed his career with a championship ring with the Twins in 1987. Frazier broadcast Major League games with Home Sports Entertainment, the Baseball Network, ESPN and the Minnesota Twins regional network, and covered collegiate baseball and football as well.
