David Hale takes the mound for the Rockies. It's his his fourth start of the year. Each of the previous three starts have come at Coors Field. Hale enters with a 4.12 ERA. He's thrown at least six innings in each of his turns and hasn't given up more than four runs in any one start. Most significantly, Hale is yet to walk a batter. The Rockies acquired Hale from Atlanta this past offseason, so he's seen the Marlins a few times, although today will mark his first start against them.
The Marlins respond with Mat Latos, who is making his return from the disabled list.
