The Boise Hawks are having a pretty tough season in terms of wins and losses. Entering Friday night, they won just 17 ball games against 29 defeats, and interestingly enough they’ve particularly struggled at home — 9-17 in Boise against a relatively respectable 8-12 away from home.
Nevertheless, minor leagues — especially short season minor leagues — aren’t about winning and losing (unless you talk to the Cardinals’ affiliates), so as long as players are being developed…
The last week (2-2): The Hawks only got four games in the last seven days entering Friday night’s action, thanks to a three-day mini break for the Northwest League’s All Star festivities, which included Kevin Padlo, probably the Hawks’ Most Valuable Player on the season thus far.
