There’s a lot to be bummed about in watching the Rockies the last few weeks. They’ve lost 16 of their last 19, only scoring three runs across the series with the Nationals. Let’s look for the good, though, trying to stay positive about the poor Rockies. One upside was the performance of Yonder Alonso. The newbie got his first start at first base. He got off to a good start at the plate, going 2-3 in the game Wednesday afternoon. Another bright spot was the pitching performances. Jon Gray and Kyle Freeland both provided good starts to the games.
