Prospect news and game results from the Rockies minor league affiliates from Tuesday, August 9, 2016.
Eddie Butler continued his transformation on Tuesday, shutting out the Las Vegas 51s in the first game of a doubleheader. He allowed just three hits and two walks in the seven-inning complete game effort. Last month Butler has a string of perplexingly bad starts before pitching coach Darryl Scott helped him tweak his delivery. In his past two outings, he’s thrown 15 innings, while allowing just two runs on seven hits and three walks. He’s only managed four strikeouts in that time but it’s difficult to argue with the results.
