There's definitely a change in climate between Tulsa, Okla., and New Britain, Conn., and so far the new Double-A team in the Rockies' farm system is enjoying it.
The Rock Cats are rocking. New Britain is atop the Eastern Division of the Eastern League, entering Friday with a 26-7 record, 7½ games ahead of the second-place Binghamton Mets.
"We knew we would have an experienced pitching staff," said Ron Gideon, the development supervisor for the Rock Cats. "But we also have a team that has developed great chemistry, a team that expects to win and a team that comes to the ballpark with a great attitude every day.
