LOS ANGELES — Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias was arrested for investigation of misdemeanor domestic battery.
He was arrested Monday at about 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Beverly Center shopping mall, Los Angeles police spokeswoman Norma Eisenman said Tuesday. No details were released.
The Dodgers said in a statement that they learned about what happened Tuesday morning and had no immediate comment while they are gathering information.
“Every allegation of domestic violence must be taken seriously and addressed promptly,” the team said. “And we will cooperate fully with the authorities and Major League Baseball to ensure that that happens in this case.
