Dodgers bat around in never-ending, eight-run seventh inning to dismantle Rockies at Coors Field

The home fans booed. Pitching coach Steve Foster came out to the mound to chat. And the Dodgers just kept on scoring in the seventh inning, batting around while dismantling three Rockies relievers on the way to a 12-4 blowout win over Colorado on Saturday night at Coors Field.

It was a 4-4 game entering that inning after starter German Marquez, without his best stuff, battled through traffic and a couple of big Los Angeles swings to hand off to the bullpen.

But that hasn’t exactly been Colorado’s best recipe for success as of late — especially since relieving linchpin Adam Ottavino went on the disabled list — and that trend held up again.
