WASHINGTON — The only thing missing was the gnarly beard and mullet-like hairdo.
In other words, Rockies second basemen DJ LeMahieu was downright “Nazty” from the leadoff spot Thursday night in the Rockies’ 5-1 victory over the Nationals.
LeMahieu, filling in for his injured buddy, Charlie “Chuck Nazty” Blackmon, produced the second two-home run game of his career, hit two doubles and also drove in a career-high four runs. He batted 4-for-5, raising his average to .351.
LeMahieu has already launched four homers this season. He didn’t reach that mark until July 7 last season.
