Searching for a silver lining to the Rockies’ recent struggles sends you straight toward outfielder Yonathan Daza.
Finally getting consistent playing time, Daza has taken full advantage. He hit 2-for-5 with two RBIs Sunday in the Rockies’ 8-7 loss to Kansas City.
Daza, who started in center field and made a beautiful sliding catch in the fourth inning, extended his career-best on-base streak to 13 games. He’s riding an eight-game hitting streak that ties the longest of his career.
“I feel amazing,” he said. “I just try to go out there and have fun and do what I need to do.
