Following robust attendance at its Oscars telecast, presidential debates and other live-TV events, Denver Film Society announced Monday it will show each game of the 2016 World Series for free on the big screen.
“We did it way back with the (finale episodes) of ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Mad Men,’ ” said JoAnna Cintron, marketing manager for Denver Film Society. “It’s been interesting to embrace this need that’s happening with people to experience pop-culture phenomena with a crowd, and we’ve found this really good space of providing that.”
The Film Society will feature a Chicago-style hot dog bar ($5 per dog) and drink specials (The Wild Thing, The Rowengartner, The Billy Goat, etc.
