Rockies all-star outfielder David Dahl is heading to the 10-day injured list with a high right ankle sprain, a day after having to be carted off the field against the Giants. Dahl, who injured his foot in the sixth inning on Friday night at Coors Field, is hitting .301 with 15 homers and 61 RBIs.
An MRI on Saturday confirmed the injury, which happened as Dahl went to make a catch in center field.
“I ran after the ball, and it cut on me at the last second so I had to stop,” Dahl said.
