Change continues for the Rockies.
Major league sources confirmed Monday night that bullpen coach Darryl Scott has been promoted to the main pitching coach. He replaces Steve Foster, who is stepping down to spend more time with his family.
The news was first reported by The Athletic.
Scott, 53, served the last two seasons as the Rockies’ bullpen coach. In the three years prior to that job, Scott was Colorado’s minor-league pitching coordinator.
Foster, 55, had served as Colorado’s pitching coach since 2015.
Last week, Mark Wiley, 73, announced he was planning to return as the Rockies’ director of pitching operations.
