By the time Colorado Rockies' right hander Jordan Lyles hurls the first pitch against the San Diego Padres at Coors Field at 2:10 p.m., it will be sunny but not too hot or windy.
Fans will be basking under clear skies and temperatures in the mid-60s, according to forecasters at the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Just about ideal baseball weather.
"It's going to be a nice day," said Kyle Fredin, NWS meteorologist.
Soft winds are expected in the 8 to 10 mph range through the day, with a chance of an occasional westerly gust up to 16 mph when the Colorado Rockies are at bat to give a baseball that extra boost over Coors' new fences.
