While the Rockies have not had a season for that is in the good part of the record books, Trevor Story has accomplished something that will be in the good part.
Earlier this month, the Rockies shortstop has accomplished another 30 home run, 20 stolen base season as entering Wednesday, he has 34 home runs and 21 stolen bases on the season.
By achieving this feat, according to the Rockies PR team, Story is the first Rockie in franchise history to achieve this.
Five other Rockies were a part of the 30/20 club, including Ellis Burks and Dante Bichette in 1996 (40/32 for Burks and 31/31 for Bichette), Larry Walker in his MVP winning 1997 season (49/33), Troy Tulowitzki in 2009 (32/20), and most recently, Carlos Gonzalez in 2010 (34/26) but none of the five ever did it twice in a Rockies uniform, let alone in back to back seasons.
