It probably seems like it has been longer than a year since the Colorado Rockies traded Mike Tauchman to the New York Yankees for pitcher Phillip Diehl but it has only been one year since the trade.
To put it nicely, it is not shown to be a good deal for the Rockies thus far.
Diehl, 25, made his MLB debut with the Rockies last season and he appeared in 10 games (all in relief). He pitched to a 7.36 ERA in 7 1/3 innings pitched. His peripheral numbers, though, painted a better picture as he had a FIP of 4.
