Colorado Rockies: Top prospect Brendan Rodgers to be called up from Triple-A Albuquerque

The Colorado Rockies are likely to call up their top prospect, infielder Brendan Rodgers, to make his major league debut this weekend for the Rockies in Philadelphia this weekend.

Rodgers, 22, is hitting .356/.421/.644 in his first season in Triple-A so the calls of late to have him called up are based on that.

It remains to announced by the Rockies and the corresponding roster move is also unknown. In the bottom of the ninth inning in Wednesday’s extra inning loss to the reigning World Champion Boston Red Sox, the Rockies shortstop, Trevor Story, collided with left fielder Raimel Tapia on a play.
