Clinging to a 3-1 lead heading into the bottom half of the 8th inning, the Colorado Rockies found themselves only three outs away from another solid Spring win. Talented reliever Miguel Castrotook to the hill. However, the ineffectiveness that kept Castro from staying in the Majors permanently in 2016 reared its ugly head again in this one.
In total, Castro gave up three hits, two of which were home runs in the frame. So far this Spring, Castro has only logged four innings, but the resulting 15.75 ERA is leaving a bit to be desired. Hopefully, Castro and the Rockies staff can find a solution.
