Colorado Rockies take game one against the Giants, win 2-0

Rockies pitchers combine to shutout the San Francisco Giants.

On the day the Giants raised their 2014 World Series Championship banner, the Rockies pulled out a scrappy win in San Francisco. Timely pitches and timely hitting were key as the Rockies took game one of the three game set.

The Giants wasted no time putting the pressure on, as they started off the game by loading the bases against Eddie Butler, but fortunately came up scoreless after Butler was able to induce a pop up from Buster Posey and ground out from Gregor Blanco to kill the rally.
