The Colorado Rockies are expected to announce the signing No. 1 draft pick Brendan Rodgers soon, according to MLB.com's Thomas Harding. Rodgers tweeted Tuesday that he is en route to Colorado, presumably for a press conference to announce his signing.
Rodgers, the third overall pick in the 2015 MLB First-Year Player Draft, previously announced that he had agreed to terms with the club shortly after he was selected. The shortstop from Lake Mary High School (Fla.) will likely begin his professional career with the rookie-level Grand Junction Rockies of the Pioneer League.
