Colorado Rockies sign Domonic Brown to minor-league contract

The Rockies have signed outfielder Domonic Brown to a minor league contract, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports. The 29-year-old lefty was an All Star in 2013 while a member of the Phillies. He was a 20th round pick of the Phillies in the 2006 draft and debuted during the 2010 season.

In 493 big league games, Brown is hitting .246/.305/.405 with an average of 18 home runs and 75 RBI. He spent last season as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays organization, hitting .239/.303/.336 with seven home runs and 41 RBI for Triple-A Buffalo.
