On Sunday, the Rockies reinstated outfielder Gerardo Parra from the 15-day disabled list and optioned infielder Rafael Ynoa to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Parra will join a crowded Colorado outfield that includes All-Stars Carlos Gonzalez and Charlie Blackmon as well as rookie David Dahl, who is making history by starting his first 12 games with at least one hit.
On Saturday night, Dahl continued his torrid start, going 3-for-5 and scoring three runs in the Rockies’ 12-6 win over the Miami Marlins. Dahl has hit safely in each of his first 12 major-league games, the longest career-opening hit streak for any active player.
