The Colorado Rockies draft class of 2017 had a good night in Greensboro on Friday, as second rounder Ryan Vilade (no. 10 PuRP) had two extra base hits and third rounder Will Gaddis (no. 24 PuRP) threw seven strong innings to give the Asheville Tourists the victory. Casey Golden (20th round) added a tie-breaking three-run home run in the sixth (in his hometown, no less) to give the Tourists the lead they would not relinquish.
Vilade doubled in the sixth inning and came around to score on Golden’s 26th home run of the season and later tripled home Thomas Jones to make it 7-2.
