Even as the Modesto Nuts lose starters (Sam Howard) and relievers (Jerry Vasto) thanks to promotions, they just keep on chuggin' in the starting rotation. In no small part, that's been thanks to Parker French, a relative newcomer to the High-A level after he began the summer in Low-A Asheville.
On Saturday night, French tossed six innings of one-run ball for the Nuts in a win over the Inland Empire 66ers, his third of the year with Modesto. That lowered his season ERA (across both levels) to 2.
