Colorado Rockies prospects: Asheville Tourists break 92-year-old record

Dom Nunez' decisive home run was the highlight of a night in which the Asheville Tourists broke a 92-year-old attendance record.

Sunday's crowd of 3,351 brings the season total to 182,705--the largest season attendance in McCormick Field's 92 year history. With the playoffs on the line, the Tourists kept themselves in the driver's seat by defeating the Grasshoppers 8-3. Asheville fell behind 1-0 when Greensboro scored an unearned run in the first, but the Tourists responded with three first inning runs of their own. Wes Rogers led off with a triple and promptly scored on Forrest Wall's sacrifice fly.
