Asheville Tourists right-hander Riley Pint had his worst outing of 2017 in a 10-3 loss to the Greenville Drive.
Pint, the Rockies’ first-round draft pick in 2016, allowed five runs, all earned, on six hits in four innings of work, walking two and striking out four. He threw 75 pitches, 46 for strikes.
The bulk of the damage against Pint came in the Drive’s four-run third inning. Pint gave up five hits in the inning, including a home run, threw a pair of wild pitches and hit a batter. Pint allowed just one hit, a double, in his other three innings of work.
