All eight of the Colorado Rockies’ minor league affiliates were in action on Thursday, with those eight clubs combining to go just 2-6. One bright side in an otherwise rough day came from No. 4 PuRP Peter Lambert who allowed just one run in his six innings for work for the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes. The 21-year-old righty was able to work around 10 hits, in part due to not walking a batter and striking out five.
Lambert now owns a 3.68 ERA across four starts in Triple-A and a 2.51 ERA in his 19 starts across both Double- and Triple-A on the season with 84 strikeouts to just 15 walks as he’s seen his prospect stock continue to rise throughout the 2018 season.
