A walk-off home run by Chris Taylor capped off a horrendous and heart-breaking night for the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday as the Dodgers took a 3-2 win and expanded their lead at the top of the division to 1.5 games. The Rockies are now 1-4 in the first five games of their nine-game NL West trip through San Francisco, Los Angeles and Phoenix and have scored just seven combined runs in those five games.
Adam Ottavino gave up the game-winning homer to Taylor on Tuesday, adding to what has been a brutal stretch for one of Colorado’s biggest bullpen assets.
