Rockies also designated Gonzalez Germen for assignment to make room for No. 30 PuRP Matt Carasiti
The Colorado Rockies made a total of four roster moves today before starting a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Rockies called up first baseman Ben Pauslen from Triple-A Albuquerque and also selected the contract of reliever Matt Carasiti (PuRP No. 30).
To make room for Paulsen on the active roster, the Rockies placed first baseman Mark Reynolds on the Disabled List with a hamate bone injury. The Rockies made room on both the 40-man and active rosters for Carasiti by designating reliever Gonzalez Germen for assignment.
