Colorado Rockies first baseman Mark Reynolds was officially placed on the Disabled List this afternoon, as first reported by Thomas Harding of MLB.com.
Ben Paulsen, who has seen multiple stints with the Rockies, was recalled to the Major League roster to replace Reynolds at first base.
Additionally, the Rockies have selected the contract of RHP Matt Carasiti, who is in line to make his MLB debut. We profiled Carasiti on a recent podcast.
To make room for him, the Rockies designated Gonzalez Germen for assignment, just as we predicted they might.
