“It felt good. It’s exciting and fun to get back out there,” Bettis said after his start against the Milwaukee Brewers, where he struck out two batters in two innings, including the very first batter he faced. “It was a huge step. I’m taking it a day at time still. It was a lot of fun today. I had a great time. We’ll see what tomorrow is in store.”
