Colorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado was just announced as the winner of the National League Player of the Week award for his play from May 22 through May May 27.
Since last Tuesday, Arenado has hit a mind boggling .538/.556/1.077 with 4 home runs and 9 RBI. In his last seven games (since last Monday), he has had at least 2 hits in each game, hitting .516/.531/.968 in that span with 16 hits, 4 home runs, and 11 runs batted in.
Per the Rockies PR team, the only other Rockies to have seven consecutive multi-games are Andres Galarraga (July 23-29, 1996), Vinny Castilla (August 11-16, 2002), and Larry Walker (June 15-22, 2002).
