Fresno is really encouraging for Rockies fans, or at least it should be since it is likely to be a lot like what 2017 Albuquerque will look like. The Isotopes have some interesting players on their team like Cristhian Adames or recently promoted Trevor Story and Tommy Murphy, but on average, the Rockies' Triple-A hitters are two and a half years older than the more dominant Astros prospects.
A couple of years of disciplined talent acquistion took the Astros' farm from a barren wasteland to one in which, even after graduating two Rookie of the Year candidates and deadline deals to acquire two starting pitchers plus a five-win centerfielder, Fresno still has a loaded roster.
