DENVER — Tyler Anderson has now officially had the best start to a career of any Colorado Rockies’ pitcher ever. His 3.04 ERA is the best ever through 11 games and he has failed to throw a quality start — and each time just barely — in only three games.
He was magnificent yet again on Monday night at Coors Field, holding the Texas Rangers to just two hits and a single run, but the Rockies fell apart late in a heartbreaking 4-3 loss.
The first run of the game came via a bit of small-ball.
