The Colorado Rockies and New York Mets faced off Monday night in the first of four baseball games at New York’s Citi Field.
Jon Gray was dominant — allowing just one hit and one run in six innings of work — but the bullpen blew the lead with a bad seventh inning, and except for a two-run home run from Carlos Gonzalez the Colorado Rockies couldn’t muster much offense, losing 4-2 on Monday night to the New York Mets at Citi Field.
The Mets got on board first with a solo home run from Travis d’Arnaud in the bottom of the second inning off Jon Gray, though it would end up being the only hit Gray allowed in his masterful six innings of work.
