Let’s start with Noel Cuevas, who was called up on Monday by the Colorado Rockies in time to start the game in San Diego. Cuevas had been tearing up Triple-A pitching in the early part of the campaign but didn’t get a chance to show much in his 2019 Major League debut thanks to another in a string of Rockies injuries to start the campaign.
He left Monday’s game following his at-bat in the top of the fourth with what is being called a strain of his left quadricep. Colorado manager Bud Black indicated after the game that Cuevas, who went 0-for-2 in his debut, was likely heading to the injured list.
