Colorado Rockies injury update: David Dahl “progressing”

David Dahl last saw action for the Colorado Rockies on August 2 when he suffered a high right ankle sprain in the sixth inning of Colorado’s 5-4 home win over the San Francisco Giants. A tearful Dahl was carted off the field as many wondered about the injury and any possibility of the 25-year-old former first-round draft pick returning this season.

Black said on Saturday that Dahl was “progressing” in his rehab at Colorado’s spring training facility in Scottsdale, Ariz. The Rockies open a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday in Phoenix and Black said he expects to not only see Dahl on Monday but also get a first-hand account of how he is doing and how a potential return this season is looking.
