Colorado Rockies injury news: David Dahl moved to 60-day DL

The Rockies officially moved Dahl to the 60-day disabled list with a stress reaction in his rib suffered in spring training that has caused him to miss the entire season thus far. With that move, a spot on the 40-man roster opened up and the Rockies filled it with outfielder Mike Tauchman, who was on a Major League lineup card for the first time prior to Tuesday night’s Rockies games in San Francisco.

The news regarding Dahl has gotten worse as the season has gone along. What was once thought to be an injury that would keep him out for a limited amount of time was soon described by Colorado manager Bud Black as healing slower than expected.
