The Colorado Rockies battled the elements and a rough start from Cal Quantrill while enjoying a two-homer game from Brenton Doyle but bullpen struggles still resulted in another loss on Tuesday. They now look to build some momentum from their offense and salvage a win in game three of the series in Cincinnati.
They will send Kyle Freeland (0-3, 6.62 ERA) to the mound as he aims to continue his success since returning from the injured list. Since returning to the rotation Freeland has allowed just three earned runs in 19 2⁄3 innings over his past three starts.
