The Colorado Rockies will attempt to score more than three runs today and hopefully avoid the sweep against the Chicago White Sox. This morning, they DFA’d Elehuris Montero and Aaron Schunk will be making his first MLB start this afternoon.
Kyle Freeland (0-3, 9.55 ERA) will take the ball for the Rockies, his second start since coming off the 60-day IL. In his last outing, Freeland no-hit the Washington Nationals through 5 1⁄3 innings on 69 pitches, striking out four. It was his first quality start since September 11, 2023 against the Chicago Cubs.
