The baseball season is a long marathon with the All-Star Game usually marking the halfway point. This year, the Rockies could have a different measuring stick with Opening Day 2.0.
The greatest part of Opening Day is that it’s a day soaked in optimism and possibility. From Opening Day through June 27, the Rockies were 31-47. Getting a reset on that mark, while also being able to do it against the NL Central’s last-place Pirates, is a good opportunity to try to make the most of this season. Tonight, the Rockies will try to make it 2-0 after Opening Day 2.
