The Rockies are looking to keep their four-game winning streak going on Friday, as they welcome the Oakland A’s to the friendly confines of Coors Field on their first-ever Pride Night.
Frankie Montas (5-5, 4.45 ERA) will toe the rubber for the Athletics. Montas has been a staple in Oakland’s rotation for the past few years following his 80-game suspension in 2019, though his 2020 was not as effective. Pitching to a 5.60 ERA last season, this was a marked step backwards, and this season he is faring no better. His hits per nine, home runs per nine, and strikeout-to-walk ratio are all either at or above last year’s mark (though it’s worth noting his ERA+ and FIP are better than last season, so make of that what you will).
