After winning their first game at Dodger Stadium since 2022 on Friday, the Colorado Rockies are looking for their first series win at Chavez Ravine since 2021. Unfortunately, they are 2-6 in rubber matches this year. But fortunately, they have Austin Gomber on the mound.
Gomber (1-2, 2.76 ERA) has been steady for the Rockies this year. He was scratched from his last scheduled start on May 27 against the Cleveland Guardians, but was lights out in his previous start against the Oakland Athletics. In that outing, Gomber pitched a career high-tying eight innings and held Oakland to just one run without walking a single batter.
