After winning seven games in a row, the Colorado Rockies have now lost four straight as they saw their lead on Tuesday drift away. Despite Cal Quantrill’s quality start and Ezequiel Tovar’s first multi-homerun game, the bullpen couldn’t hold the lead as Mason Miller made quick work of the Rockies in the ninth.
Austin Gomber looks to keep his streak of good outings going as he makes his 10th start of the year. Gomber enters the game 1-2 with a 3.02 ERA in 50 2⁄3 innings with 35 strikeouts 17 walks. He has allowed just one earned run this month and is coming off his last start in which he allowed just two hits in six innings against the San Diego Padres.
