After jumping out to a 11-3 start, the Rockies are now 13-13 and riding a five-game losing streak. In a season with a lot of inconsistency so far, one thing that has been consistent is the quality starts by Kyle Freeland. In 31 u2154 innings over five starts, Freeland has posted a 2.56 ERA, a 1.11 WHIP, and 18 strikeouts. More importantly, the Rockies are 4-1 when Freeland starts on the mound. More impressively, Freeland is now tied for second in Rockies history with five consecutive quality starts to begin a season (tied with Shawn Chacón’s start in 2003).
